Fish Alaska’s Famous Kodiak Island!

Riley’s Outdoor Consulting owner Jim Riley has spent countless days guiding, hunting, fishing, and touring Alaska.  In fact, back in his days as a consultant for Cabela’s Outdoor Adventures Jim traveled to Kodiak to add the hot fishing destination to Cabela’s inventory.

Kodiak is still the hot fishery it was years ago!  With no roads to Kodiak, the number of anglers is somewhat limited. The waters around Kodiak team with bait fish which in turn attract the local predatory fish such as halibut, lingcod, and rockfish.  Five species of salmon return each year to the rivers that flow from Kodiak Island.  The salmon stage in the saltwater prior to making the run up the freshwater rivers to spawn.  They are feeding heavily before they make their last stand.  Salmon from the saltwater are also the very best eating!

Riley’s Outdoor Consulting partners with the best outfitters in and around Kodiak.  We can assist you in a very affordable trip where we pair your party with the best Captains and assist you in finding affordable accommodations. We also have a full-service lodge that includes all meals and lodging.  We even have a premier lodge that is sure to please even the most discriminating client!
